Let My Love Open The Door.
Review written by Jack Aling

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is directed by Kogonada and written by Seth Reiss.
Sarah and David are single strangers who meet at a mutual friend's wedding and soon, through a surprising twist of fate, find themselves on a funny, fantastical, sweeping adventure together where they get to re-live important moments from their respective pasts, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present... and possibly getting a chance to alter their futures.
A big, bold film full of beautiful ideas, Kogonada's latest is a reflective and therapeutic take on the traditional love story.
There is so much to unpack as it explores many introspective themes, which creates a touching and emotional experience, especially when paired with vivid imagery. As much as I loved the message and aesthetic, I do wish it dialled back the whimsy a touch, as the film is at its strongest when it allows itself to be present and sit still for a moment.
