You Have Been Warned.

Queer is directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes. Starring Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman & Lesley Manville.

The Stimming Pool is directed by Steven Eastwood, Benjamin Brown, Georgia Kumari Bradburn, Lucy Walker, Robin Elliott-Knowles & Sam Chown-Ahern.

Created by a collective of neurodivergent filmmakers in an attempt to provide an alternative and artistic take on what it’s like to live with neurodivergence in a chaotic world not made for those who are different.

A fascinating work of experimental docufiction that highlights the importance of using art as a form of expression.

The Stimming Pool is co-created by the Neurocultures Collective and filmmaker Steven Eastwood, bringing together a range of different styles and voices to communicate their perspective on the neurodivergent experience.

The final product is a blend of different stories, overlapping and weaving amongst each other with no narrative to constrain them. It didn't entirely work for me but I was engaged throughout thanks to the engaging camerawork and expert sound design.

Our verdict: 2.5 out of 5 stars.

The Stimming Pool releases in UK cinemas 28th March 2025.
