Together is directed and written by Michael Shanks.
Starring Dave Franco, Alison Brie & Damon Herriman.

With a move to the countryside already testing the limits of a couple's relationship, a supernatural encounter begins an extreme transformation of their love, their lives, and their flesh.

Body horror collides with couples therapy in the unhinged Together.

Real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie put their chemistry to the test in a story that sees how close the two can get. The answer apparently is very.

The story is paper-thin, wearing its not so subtle metaphors on its sleeve as it stretches itself out, slowly creeping towards the inevitable reason you bought your ticket.

The horror elements are solid, elevated by the performances of Franco and Brie. But following up the tonally similar The Substance from last year, it fails to live up to the high & grotesque standard Coralie Fargeat set.

Great to watch with a crowd and bonus points for a 10/10 needle drop - sometimes the most obvious jokes are the best.

Our verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.

Together arrives in UK Cinemas August 15th 2025
