Wicker is directed and written by Eleanor Wilson & Alex Huston Fischer.
Starring Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage & Elizabeth Debicki.
On the outskirts of a village by the sea, lives a Fisherwoman; smelly, single and perpetually ridiculed. One day, fed up with her stuffy, small-minded neighbours, she commissions herself a husband to be made from wicker. In an otherwise conservative town, this unconventional romance sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos.
A quirky and horny folklore tale that finally asks the question: what would it be like to love a scarecrow?
Fuelled by passion and superstition, Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård have real chemistry as their inverted romance drives their local village mad with jealousy.
Witty dialogue, absorbing sound design, and meticulous set & character design help create this touching story about the desire to be desired.
