What Do You See That I Don't?

Review written by Jack Aling

Weapons 2025 film review
Weapons is directed by Zach Cregger and written by Zach Cregger.

When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

After the blindsiding experience of Barbarian, expectations were high for Zach Cregger's twisted follow up - Weapons.

A slowly evolving mystery box, as the secrets within Weapons are revealed, the more impressive its balancing act becomes. The many characters and themes interweave in a way that keeps you guessing, leading to a wickedly ferocious final act that delivered everything I wanted and more.

A delightfully original cinematic experience that isn't afraid to tackle sensitive topics like grief and social paranoia in its own distinctive way.

Our verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Weapons arrives in UK cinemas 8 August 2025.
