Review written by Jack Aling

Calle Málaga is directed by Maryam Touzani and written by Maryam Touzani and Nabil Ayouch.
Maria Angeles, a 79-year-old Spanish woman who has lived alone in Tangier for decades, fights to keep her apartment when her daughter arrives from Madrid intent on selling it. Touzani's Spanish-language debut.
A real hidden gem at this year's London Film Festival, Calle Málaga slowly reveals itself as a later in life coming of age story.
Carmen Maura soars in the lead as Maria when she is forced out of the comfort zone that is her home. This significant shift has her look forward for the first time in years, resulting in a heartwarming exploration of what it means to be home and a reminder to never get too comfortable.
